[08:22] We first embrace God’s love that helps us to start loving ourselves.
[10:46] The superficial things are not what will sustain and keep a relationship together.
[11:49] A list will drive you crazy. You really have to invest in understanding the value of someone and yourself.
[14:14] Lists don’t always mean anything.
[18:51] Lists vs. Values
[22:18] In order for a relationship to work, a relationship has to have the following values: needs, wants, constant communication, honesty, and compromise.
[22:49] You can’t have a relationship without communication. Can we compromise and come to an understanding of what we both want and make this relationship grow?
[24:14] For someone to be honest and vulnerable with you, we do have to take ownership for creating an emotionally safe space for that.
[25:46] So many relationships end up getting to an unhealthy place or not working out because people weren’t telling the truth.
[26:24] Really understanding what those needs are is very important.
[27:16] You have to be okay with walking away if your needs cannot be met.
[30:04] The only way you find out if someone has the same values is to ask the hard questions. You have to be specific with your questions and not be afraid of the answers you are going to get.
[32:01] You want to be with someone who is emotionally available.
[33:26] Understanding each other’s love language is important and knowing what is important to each other. Adding value to each other’s life is very important.
[36:35] Components of a healthy relationship – Emotional available, happy and healed within themselves, understand your love languages and needs, adds value, and showing their care and concern.
[39:17] Renee shares details about her favorite trip to London.
[40:43] Renee shares her favorite Beyonce song.
[42:08] There should be this sense of freedom when you are in a happy and healthy relationship.
