Episode 12 | What’s on My Travel Checklist

Welcome back to this solo episode. This podcast episode is all about what is on my travel checklist. When we go on a trip, most of us have a few staples that we can’t leave home without and I’ll be sharing some of my favorites.

Hopefully, this episode will give you a few new ideas of items that you want to add to your travel checklist for your next trip!

Show Notes:
[01:51] If you are not a frequent traveler it is important to write out a travel checklist as a reminder of everything you need to take on your next trip.
[02:14] You can make a travel checklist on the notes app on your phone, Google sheet, Excel spreadsheet or just write it out. It is a good reminder so you don’t forget the essentials.
[03:12] It is so important to have comfortable clothes for your airport experience. My staple airport outfit includes black leggings, comfy sneakers, our Travel, Pray, Slay t-shirt, and hoodie. My favorite leggings are the Powerhold leggings by Fabletics.
[05:34] I also take my Hidrate Smart water bottle with me. The Hidrate Smart water bottle reminds you to drink and calculates your water intake through their app. You can refill your water bottle at the airport.
[07:16] I always brings her iPad. You can predownload movies and TV shows on Amazon Prime or Netflix so you don’t need wi-fi to stream them. You can also download audiobooks and podcasts too.
[08:30] I love to travel with a crossbody bag or fanny pack. It is easier to access and you don’t have to worry about sitting it down or losing it. I’m loving my new GlamAholic Lifestyle fanny pack.
[10:50] I also pack a travel wallet. Travel wallets have compartments that are labeled to keep all travel related documents and receipts in one place.
[13:33] I always brings my skincare products to maintain my skincare routine and pack a few face towels from home.
[14:25] Keep all your travel-sized toiletries and items for your skincare routine in a small bag ready to go, like our Travel, Pray, Slay cosmetic bag.
[15:57] I also travel with a candle. It is a good way to set the mood and atmosphere. If you don’t want to travel with a candle, you can also use incense. I love candles and incense from Black-Owned Simply Scents and Posh Candle.
[17:59] I also never forget to pack flip-flops, as they are great for shower shoes.
[19:26] What are some of your travel staples? What is on your checklist?
